Amazon highlights VoxVision among the technologies supporting wildfire response with AWS AI and IoT edge computing.
Amazon has featured Voxelis in an About Amazon Canada article, “Wildfires: AWS AI and Cloud Technology on the Front Line”, published September 2, 2025 and written by Manon Yelle, Public Sector Technology Leader at AWS Canada.
The article looks at how Canadian organizations are using AI and cloud technology against a brutal 2025 wildfire season, the country’s second-worst on record with over 7.8 million hectares burned. Voxelis leads the piece under the heading “Precision Aerial Firefighting With AI Edge Computing.”
The 2025 report describes VoxVision’s use of thermal sensing and airborne processing, and discusses environmental observations and predictive fire trajectories. These are descriptions from that historical coverage, not a statement that every capability is available in the current product.
